About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Procurement & Subcontract Specialist to join our team at BAE Systems Australia.

As a key member of our Maritime Sustainment program, you will be responsible for forging strong supplier relationships, developing sourcing strategies, negotiating subcontracts, and overseeing contracts to ensure timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and quality excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to secure the best value for the business.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and manage performance to achieve optimal results.
  • Lead complex negotiations and finalise contracts to protect the organization's interests.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives to reduce expenses.
  • Manage the entire procurement process, from sourcing, tendering to contract management.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated expertise in procurement and supply chain management, including negotiation & full procurement lifecycle.
  • A talent for developing and implementing innovative sourcing strategies to maximise value.
  • Talented in collaborating effectively & seamlessly with diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to drive supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
  • Understanding of commercial contracts, payment structures, and risk management.
  • Eligibility to apply for Security Clearance & ITAR requirements.
