Education Coordinator

You will play a critical role in supporting education programs and services at a correctional centre. Work closely with a high-performing team to provide advice and guidance to prisoners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the relationship between education providers and prison programs.
  • Negotiate with and manage education providers to deliver services according to contractual agreements.
  • Establish and coordinate performance reporting processes, including analysing data and preparing reports.
  • Develop, implement, and manage local prison processes to maximise opportunities for prisoner participation in Vocational Education Training (VET).

Some of your duties will include:

  • Leading teams effectively in complex situations, providing clear direction, advice, and necessary support in day-to-day work and in developing new processes and procedures.
  • Coordinating operational service delivery across various business units and program areas, including service performance monitoring and reporting.
  • Providing leadership in addressing issues affecting prisoner participation in education and training.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Experience in managing teams in complex situations.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating operational service delivery across business units and program areas.
  • Knowledge and experience within a correctional services environment.
