Family Support Practitioner

C&K - The Creche and Kindergarten is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Support Practitioner to join our team at the C&K Dixon St Early Years Centre.
About the RoleThe Family Support Practitioner will contribute to the implementation of an intensive early childhood education and care program, working with children and families living with significant adversity. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and implementation of the intensive early childhood education and care program.
- Provide high-quality, empathic, and responsive casework support to children and families.
- Support the development of reciprocal and equitable partnerships with parents.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to provide crisis intervention and brief intervention for families in distress.
- Work with families to navigate access to specialized services or community supports as needed.
- Liaise with statutory and voluntary services involved with children participating in the program.
- Tertiary degree in Social Work or a related discipline.
- At least seven years' experience working with children and families living with social adversity.
- Eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body and/or applicable registration/licence.
- Paid Blue Card or Exemption Card.
- Police Check current within 3 months or willingness to obtain one.
- Current Covid vaccination certificate.
