Financial Operations Specialist

A key role in the day-to-day management of financial transactions, reporting to the Accounts Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities:- Classify patients with eligible private health insurance or third-party cover accurately and efficiently
- Encourage private inpatients to utilise their private health cover and advise on rights and responsibilities
- Confirm patient cover with health funds and determine out-of-pocket costs correctly
- Liaise with clinical areas and medical staff to confirm correct patient classification
Additional requirements include ensuring all compensable claims are completed correctly and submitted appropriately.
About You:- Demonstrated experience in patient liaison, billing or related administrative roles in healthcare
- Proven excellence in customer service in a high-volume setting
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and financial systems
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to a team
- A personal alignment with values such as care, integrity, excellence, and collaboration
