Job Description

This position is for a seasoned Senior Lead Java Developer who will spearhead the development of complex software systems using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java programming, object-oriented design, and architecture documentation.

  • The primary responsibility is to create high-level architecture documents, including blueprints, building blocks, and integration diagrams.
  • Create UML diagrams (e.g., class, sequence, component) using tools like Draw.io, Visio.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, best practices, and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Analyze and understand the existing system architecture to identify improvement areas and integration points.
  • Guide teams in implementing microservices-based architectures using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
  • Define and enforce design patterns, coding standards, and architecture governance.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, technical assessments, and solution validation.
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to developers and junior architects.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in Java development, excellent communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency in relational databases, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with API security best practices, code quality analysis, and messaging/integration.
  • Experience working in regulated environments, especially with insurance regulations and compliance.

The successful candidate will possess a strong track record of delivering large-scale software projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
