Berkshire East Ski Resort is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious individual to fill the role of Summer Lift Attendant.

This position involves ensuring the smooth operation of our chairlifts during the summer season while prioritizing guest safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely monitor the loading and unloading of guests and mountain bikes on chairlifts.
  • Provide clear instructions and guidance to guests regarding chairlift usage.
  • Identify and address any guest difficulties using the lift.
  • Verify that guests are utilizing the lift correctly and safely.
  • Implement operational shutdowns as necessary.
  • Validate lift tickets and season passes.
  • Loading and unloading mountain bikes and other equipment.
  • Effective communication through radio and phone.
  • Enforcing restrictions on equipment and functionality during load operations.
  • Maintaining ramp specifications for loading and unloading.
  • Daily documentation of lift operations and other required reports.
  • In case of an accident or injury, promptly report to management.
  • Notify maintenance of any malfunctions or lift issues.
  • Collaborative work within the Lift Ops team.
  • Troubleshooting support to maintenance as requested.
  • Emergency response as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Age requirement: 16 years or older.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Commitment to adhering to company safety protocols.
  • Punctual and detail-oriented with a focus on safety.
  • Completed lift operator training prior to employment.
  • A friendly and engaging attitude to interact with guests and colleagues.
  • Clear communication skills via two-way radio.
