About the Role

Casual positions are available for linguists to provide high-quality interpreting services to patients and carers who require support with communication.

We are seeking individuals who can effectively communicate with families and visitors, providing general advice on hospital visits and assisting with relevant forms as required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a superior linguistic support role within our organization, catering to Culturally and Linguistically Diverse clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Communicating with patients and carers to provide general advice on hospital visits and assisting with completion of relevant forms
  • Providing interpreting services to ensure effective communication between patients, carers, and healthcare professionals

In addition to these key responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be expected to:

  • Comply with organizational policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines relevant to the position
  • Undertake other appropriate duties as directed by Team Leader, MN Language Services
