We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Manager to join our team at North Geelong Medical Clinic, located in Western Victoria.

This part-time role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by fostering professional growth, strengthening our teaching culture, and supporting the recruitment of General Practitioners.

The successful candidate will provide essential leadership, ensuring operational excellence and maintaining our high standard of patient care.

About the Role

This is a part-time (up to 3 days per week) position that requires strong problem-solving and team management skills, as well as proven experience in general practice management.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the practice owner to facilitate business planning, risk management, financial systems, human resources, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance.

This includes delivering exceptional customer service to our culturally diverse patient base, maintaining positive relationships with third-parties and key stakeholders, and ensuring the practice complies with all statutory and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the practice owner to drive business planning, risk management, and financial systems

  • Provide primary responsibility for electronic systems and computer security
  • Fill in for reception when required to cover leave
  • Carefully monitor billing using adept use of systems
Required Qualifications and Qualities

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated leadership by example, with strong problem-solving and team management skills
  • Proven experience in general practice management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Xero (or similar)
  • Experience with Best Practice (or similar software)

We offer a competitive salary package estimated to be around $85,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in Western Victoria.
