About the Role

The Tunnel Control Room Operator Team Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Sydney Harbour Tunnel. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for delivering training, mentoring, and roster management of the Tunnel Control Room Operators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control the operation of the Sydney Harbour tunnel using defined procedures and electronic systems.
  • Detect and respond to incidents from the control room systems and the camera network within the required KPI criteria.
  • Observe and initiate remedial action to traffic conditions where required.
  • Log all incidents through various stages.
  • Assist and train both traffic control room operators and incident response crew.
  • Create and manage a roster for the team, filling in shifts where needed.
  • Assist with the monitoring of scheduling, procedures, and set up all planned traffic disruptions.
  • Assist in the development and management of the training required for Traffic Control Operators and Incident Response personnel.
Requirements
  • Exceptional reporting and computer skills.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Cert IV in Traffic Control Room Operations.
  • Good knowledge of traffic control.
  • NSW drivers license and white card.
  • Emergency response training.
  • First Aid and CPR training.
