Cybersecurity Incident Response Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Incident Response Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our incident response efforts, providing technical expertise and oversight to ensure timely and effective responses to cybersecurity incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead investigations into cyber-attacks against our customers and provide technical guidance to the global Incident Response team.
  • Monitor SIEM platforms for security concerns, tune system performance, and develop new detection content based on changes in the threat environment.
  • Develop tools, tradecraft, playbooks, and other materiel to support incident response and investigation efforts.
  • Triage and contain cybersecurity incidents, and support recovery and remediation efforts to restore systems to operational states.
  • Conduct forensic analysis of Windows, Linux, and macOS devices.
  • Analyze attacker tools, techniques, and procedures of different actors from hacktivists to nation-state groups.
  • SUPERVISE AND MENTOR JUNIOR SECURITY CONSULTANTS TO DEVELOP THEIR INCIDENT RESPONSE SKILLSETS.
  • Document delivery processes, feed back lessons learned, and work with the wider team to establish best practices and repeatable processes.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in leading and supporting incident response efforts across various systems and technology types.
  • Experience working with Splunk, including platform configuration, event review, and detection content development.
  • Experience using forensic tools such as EnCase, Axiom, and Cellebrite UFED to gather and preserve digital forensic artefacts.
  • Familiarity with EDR tools like Crowdstrike, Carbon Black, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Cylance.
  • Ability to write concise incident response reports and create graphics to illustrate scenarios or datasets.
  • Detailed knowledge of the cybersecurity product landscape, including familiarity with Azure and Amazon Web Services.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and exercising incident response plans, playbooks, and other tradecraft.
  • Familiarity with relevant government standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills, including Microsoft Office suite use (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Visio).
  • Time management and organizational skills to independently manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Detail-oriented approach and self-starter mentality.

  • SANS FOR508 Digital Forensics & Incident Response certification
  • Other relevant certifications such as GIAC or CREST
