Heavy Mining Equipment Restoration Manager

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Restoration Manager to join our client's team and lead the workshop operations to new heights of success. This is an exciting opportunity for someone currently in a lead role looking to step into a managerial position, with a chance to influence major refurbishment projects and shape the future of the industry.
Key Responsibilities- Lead refurbishment projects, overseeing all aspects of heavy mining equipment refurbishment, from initial service and repair to major overhauls, ensuring precision and adherence to engineering drawings.
- Manage operations, supervising daily workshop activities, coordinating with various functions, and managing key customer relationships to ensure high satisfaction and alignment with delivery expectations.
- Champion safety, promoting a safety-first culture within the workshop by adhering to safety guidelines and ensuring all team members follow best practices.
- Achieve performance goals, meeting P&L budget targets, monitoring expenditure, and ensuring key performance indicators (SQDC) are achieved.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and EHS functions to review and refine operational processes, driving continuous improvement.
- Extensive experience in repair and remanufacturing operations, with a minimum of 3 years in leadership roles, preferably in heavy mining equipment.
- Technical expertise in Mechanical or Electrical fields, with advanced knowledge in mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Leadership skills, with a proven track record of leading a team, managing customer relationships, and delivering operational excellence.
- Educational background in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field. Six Sigma/Quality training is advantageous.
