About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our team at Travel Trade Recruitment. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and expanding our client base in the travel industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agency partners and identify new business opportunities.
  • Conduct sales presentations and product training sessions for travel agents and clients.
  • Negotiate and finalise partnership agreements that drive mutual growth.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our products and services.
  • Monitor market trends and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of travel products, destinations, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience in a travel sales or business development role, preferably within the travel wholesale industry.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.

To be successful in this role, you must have the following:

  • Minimum 2 years in the travel industry ideally as a BDM / Sales Rep.
  • Ability to leverage and convert existing travel industry networks.
  • Manage and strengthen existing accounts.
  • Natural ability and confidence to convert a new client through written/verbal, presentations and sales visits.
  • Target driven mindset accompanied with an infectious charisma.
