The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity available for a part-time Gardening Assistant to join our team at Kingston Green Retirement Living in Cheltenham. This role offers a unique chance to work in a friendly community surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds and gardens. You'll enjoy spending time outdoors, maintaining the day-to-day upkeep of our gardens and grounds, and building strong relationships with our residents and fellow team members.


Responsibilities
  1. Work with other Gardeners to maintain all village gardens, including weeding, mowing, hedging, pruning, mulching, and green waste removal.
  2. Ensure all community spaces are appealing and safe for our community and visitors.
  3. Maintain effective working relationships with maintenance contractors and suppliers.
  4. Carry out preventative maintenance tasks around the community as per schedules.
  5. Build strong relationships with our residents and enjoy helping them to live their best lives with well-maintained areas.

What You'll Bring

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A warm and caring personality with a genuine interest in making a difference every day.
  • Experience in domestic gardening duties such as mowing, pruning, and mulching (highly desired).
  • A current Police Check certificate (required, but if you don't possess one, we can assist with the process).
  • A valid driver's licence and two COVID-19 vaccinations (required).

Benefits

This is a permanent part-time position, working every Tuesday and Thursday 9am - 5pm (flexible on shift time). We offer:
