Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Shift Relief Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine planned preventive maintenance tasks and attending to air conditioning related issues on-site.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Carry out regular scheduled maintenance tasks across high and low voltage distribution systems, associated plant/equipment, and HVAC mechanical cooling/heating systems as determined by the computerised maintenance management system work orders.
  2. Monitor building management systems for running and alarm conditions; attend to air conditioning related issues on-site.
  3. Conduct site walk-throughs and take meter readings from uninterruptible power supplies, power distribution units, and utilities.
  4. Investigate faults, identify causes, and implement remedial actions; prepare accurate and timely reports as required.
  5. Ensure corrective/repair works are carried out in accordance with current regulations.
  6. Assist with installation works where necessary.
  7. Participate in emergency call-out roster to provide cover for weekends and team member absences as required.
  8. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the portfolio buildings, their layouts, functions, and complexities.
  9. Establish and develop trusting relationships with facilities managers, client staff, and representatives.
  10. Promote safe working practices, quality standards conformity, and best practice methods.
  11. Volunteer ideas or initiatives that contribute to service levels and delivery.
  12. Undertake other tasks as required by the client according to experience and competencies.
Requirements
  • New South Wales electrical license or New South Wales HVAC/refrigeration license is required.
  • Good knowledge of building services; experience with critical environment environments.
  • Good customer relationship skills.
  • Working knowledge of permit-to-work systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/processes.
  • Experience with computerised maintenance management systems and building management systems.
