Our company is a leading supplier of retail-ready, chilled raw meat to Coles supermarkets across Western Australia.

Job Role

We are recruiting an experienced Maintenance Planner/Fitter to join our team on a full-time basis. This role involves ensuring preventative maintenance and work requests are assigned and appropriately resourced and scheduled for completion using our maintenance resources or contractors.

This ensures minimal downtime to the processing facility while maintaining compliance with legislative and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan maintenance activities via CMMS, including preparing parts availability, contractor information, and specific work permits.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Develop maintenance strategies, schedules, coordinate and monitor the maintenance of all mobile and fixed plant equipment.
  • Organise schedules/work orders for the entire maintenance team, including mobile maintenance, fixed plant, and electrical assets.
  • Organise parts and labour needed in a timely manner for future works, contractor labour, and offsite repairs to minimise disruption to operations.
  • Respond to breakdowns as required.
  • Capture data, input data for analysis, and generate asset reports.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working with CMMS software, essential.
  • Previous experience in purchasing and inventory control.
  • A solid understanding of basic mechanical and electrical components.
  • An engineering or trade qualification, preferably with a mechanical or electrical background.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with internal stakeholders.
  • The ability to work independently with exceptional organisational and time management skills.
