The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance and Operations Manager to join our team in Berlin. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide administrative support, ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Financial Operations: Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, support the Program Director in budgeting and financial planning, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
    • Administer payroll and benefits, coordinate audits, and manage bank accounts in Germany.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including coding and budget tracking.
    • Collaborate with the parent organization's finance team and support in uploading expenses to online finance tools.
    • Prepare and submit payment authorization forms, administer credit card reconciliations, and reimbursement requests.
    • Assist in the development of organizational budgets and financial plans.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated experience providing financial support in the non-profit sector.
    • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and accuracy.
    • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, as well as developing and implementing financial policies.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German.
