Job Title: Senior Mental Health Clinician

Overview

Lead recovery for older adults with complex needs, utilizing person-centred care, service coordination and system improvement.

Drive partnerships across health and community, championing innovation in mental health care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering specialist assessment, treatment & care planning
  • Championing practice improvement & staff capacity building
  • Leading partnerships with residential aged care facilities & community-based supports
  • Providing intensive outreach to support community transition
  • Collaborating with carers, agencies & multidisciplinary teams
Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or higher level

Registration:

• Demonstrated full registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist, Nurse or Psychologist, or eligibility to be a member of the AASW as a Social Worker

Skills and Qualities:

• Demonstrated skills in mental health and discipline specific assessments and interventions

• Proven recent experience in a mental health leadership and/or change management role

• Proven clinical experience within a multi-disciplinary team with the ability to provide consultancy, supervision, education and training on clinical issues

• Advanced written and verbal communication skills with computer competence and literacy, including the use of database systems

• Ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision

• Working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act 2007

• Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia
