Job Description:

Safety Compliance Advisor

We are seeking a skilled Safety Compliance Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring our operations comply with relevant safety legislation and drive safe work practices across the business.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to effectively coordinate our WHS portfolio, develop and update health and safety procedures and policies in line with state and national legislation, prepare WHS reports for senior management and stakeholders, and investigate incidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for chairing the Work Health and Safety Committee and maintaining meeting minutes, participating in workers' compensation claims reviews, communication with injured workers, and return-to-work strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate our WHS portfolio
  • Develop and update health and safety procedures and policies in line with state and national legislation
  • Prepare WHS reports for senior management and stakeholders
  • Raise and follow up incident tickets, logs, and corrective actions
  • Investigate incidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions
  • Chair the Work Health and Safety Committee and maintain meeting minutes
  • Participate in workers' compensation claims reviews, communication with injured workers, and return-to-work strategies
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in WHS or a related field
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
