Job Summary

Space Machines Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Spacecraft Communications Systems Designer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced RF communication systems for spacecraft, ensuring reliable and efficient communication between space vehicles and ground systems.

About the Role
We are looking for a self-starter with a deep understanding of space communications systems, including direct links, satellite relay systems, and inter-satellite comms. You will conduct detailed analysis of communication requirements and develop strategies to ensure robust and reliable data transmission in the space environment. Your expertise in RF technologies and strong analytical abilities will enable you to troubleshoot and optimize communication links. Additionally, you will be responsible for the rigorous testing and verification of communications systems to ensure their functionality and reliability in the space environment.

About You
We are looking for a talented individual with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. You should have at least 5 years of experience in RF communications, with a focus on space communications. Your proficiency in using RF simulation and analysis tools, such as MATLAB, CST, Ansys HFSS, and your knowledge of international space communication standards and protocols, are essential for this role. We also value excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
