About the Role

The Chief of Cleanliness is a pivotal position that oversees daily housekeeping operations, ensuring facilities meet cleanliness and hygiene standards.

This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to excellence in service.

You will lead a dedicated team ensuring every guest enjoys a comfortable and pristine environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Management: Supervise and manage housekeeping staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Operations Oversight: Oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
  • Inspection and Compliance: Conduct regular inspections of rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Guest Relations: Address and resolve any guest complaints or issues related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, ensuring timely ordering and replenishment.
  • Expense Control: Monitor and control departmental expenses, including supply usage and equipment maintenance.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for new and existing housekeeping staff to ensure they are knowledgeable about procedures and standards.
  • Coaching and Support: Provide ongoing coaching and support to staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all housekeeping practices comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Audit and Improvement: Conduct regular safety audits and address any potential hazards or issues.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless operation and guest satisfaction.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with staff and management to address any issues or concerns and ensure smooth operations.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, including room status, maintenance requests, and staff performance.

About You

We seek a motivated and detail-oriented professional with 3-5 years of experience in a housekeeping or facilities management role. A degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety standards is essential. Proven leadership and team management skills, along with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, are required. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service, are also necessary.
