Senior Technical Engineer - Aviation Lifting Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Senior Technical Engineer to join our team in the Inner suburbs of Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual looking for a long-term and rewarding role with a strong, stable organization.

The successful candidate will assist the trade team by assessing, testing, inspecting, and repairing all aviation lifting equipment, including rigging and dogging equipment. The role involves various tasks, requiring flexibility with skills. A background in trade or engineering qualifications is essential, along with proficiency in design work on AutoCAD and hands-on activities.

This position is mostly workshop based, with occasional site visits at airports. Operating conventional machines such as lathes and milling machines would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing, testing, inspecting, and repairing aviation lifting equipment
  • Design work on AutoCAD
  • Hands-on activities, including assembly and checking components
  • Repair and maintenance of lifting equipment
