As a key member of our logistics team, the Logistics Quality Assurance Officer will play a vital role in ensuring the technical inspection of aeronautical products at receipt and dispatch. This involves establishing product integrity while maintaining data integrity of the CAMM2 database.

This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong understanding of Defence Logistics Management Systems. Ideally, candidates will hold an Associate Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualifications, along with extensive experience and on-the-job training.

The successful candidate will have significant knowledge and experience in Defence and/or Civilian Aviation Quality Assurance and Maintenance Management processes and Logistics systems, including Supply Chain and Asset Management. Unit Inspecting Officer qualification is also required or the ability to obtain this qualification within a specified timeframe.

Key responsibilities include overseeing Commonwealth-owned product, conducting technical inspections, managing CAMM2 transactions, coordinating customer meetings, and identifying process efficiencies. Additionally, they will review and evaluate obsolescence management by reporting on known issues and their status.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold a current or re-instatable NV1 Defence Security Clearance or be eligible to gain this clearance.

Additionally, the following qualifications are desired:

  • Associate Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualifications
  • Extensive experience in Defence and/or Civilian Aviation Quality Assurance and Maintenance Management processes and Logistics systems
