Job Title: Senior Project Manager

  • Transforming Infrastructure through Strategic Leadership.

Job Description:

As a Sr Project Manager, you play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our Water Infrastructure team. Based out of Melbourne, you will collaborate closely with project teams, regulatory agencies, clients, and other stakeholders to drive projects forward.

The primary responsibilities include:

  1. Providing technical oversight to design staff and team members for water and wastewater infrastructure projects including treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, storage tanks, etc.
  2. Coordinating contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors, drafting complex agreements, and ensuring senior management review.
  3. Directing project teams and clients in compliance with contract terms, monitoring subcontractor commitments, and managing project production.
  4. Preparing project work plans, scopes, schedules, and budgets, communicating these to project team members, and ensuring compliance with objectives.
  5. Monitoring reports and schedules to ensure accurate charging of manhours, costs, and expenses to projects, and reporting project progress/status to senior management.
  6. Establishing and maintaining project account files on the computerized project management information system, reviewing project reports for accuracy and completeness.
  7. Managing client billings, resolving payment disputes, adjusting project billing records as required.
  8. Monitoring subconsultants' progress and performance, reviewing invoices, resolving payment and project disputes.
  9. Coordinating project meetings with the project team, regulatory agencies, the client, and others involved with the projects.
  10. Reporting financial status of projects to technical managers.
  11. Identifying new business opportunities, coordinating project presentations to clients, promoting firm's capabilities among existing and prospective clients.
  12. Participating in project opportunity evaluation, consultant selection, and preparation of qualification/experience statements.
  13. Supervising technical professionals, associate project managers, and design staff including workload and staffing management.
  14. Preparing detailed design documents, evaluation reports, and engineering studies.
  15. Assisting clients with bid phase services and leading efforts during construction, monitoring inspectors and construction progress for projects.
