Overview of the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Network Safety and Assurance Specialist to join our team in Melbourne. As part of this role, you will be responsible for overseeing network safety and compliance, ensuring alignment with Victorian electricity safety regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert support to stakeholders on regulatory requirements
  • Responding to Electricity Safety Victoria (ESV) regulatory compliance information requests
  • Influencing proposed changes to electricity safety legislation and regulations
  • Communicating electricity safety legislation changes to internal stakeholders
  • Investigating serious electricity network safety incidents
  • Engaging with ESV on incident reporting matters

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant electrical or technical certification
  • Extensive experience in the electrical industry
  • Detailed knowledge of the Electricity Safety Act and related regulations
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Good computer literacy
