Caregiver Specialist

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing assistance and support to individuals with disabilities in their daily lives.

• Develop daily skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills, and budgeting to help people achieve their NDIS goals.
• Assist with aspects of personal care to meet individual needs of the people we support.
• Support meal planning, cooking, light cleaning, and facilitate community connection by socialising and going on outings.
• Provide support during daily activities such as going for a walk, going to the movies or accompanying to an appointment.
• Help the people we support maintain connections with family, friends, and services.

Empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and experience will be invaluable in providing high-quality support and fostering independence for our clients.

• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
• The capacity to meet the physical requirements as some manual handling tasks may be involved.
• Commitment to privacy and confidentiality.
• Good computer skills and experience using Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid, CPR, National Criminal History Check, and an open Drivers License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle.
