Mackay Hospital and Health Service offers a challenging role for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join their expanding healthcare team.
The Occupational Therapy Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a skilled professional to provide high level comprehensive occupational therapy clinical skills and leadership to deliver effective treatment across multiple areas of the service, to client groups within the Mackay Hospital and Health Service, as determined through the Health Service Plan and priorities.
About The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Occupational Therapist to work in a fast-paced environment that values collaboration, trust, respect and teamwork. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in helping people of all ages to overcome the effects of disability caused by illness, ageing or accident so that they can carry out everyday tasks or occupations and participate in the activities of everyday life.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality occupational therapy services to clients across multiple areas of the service, including Rehabilitation, Acute, Outpatients / Hand Therapy, Outpatients / Lymphoedema, Palliative Care, Paediatrics. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
