Job Description

Maintenance supervisors lead and mentor maintenance teams, overseeing maintenance and capital improvement needs of assigned properties. The goal is to meet client expectations within the operating agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of maintenance personnel, including technicians, groundskeepers/porters, and housekeepers/cleaners.
  • Implement daily and preventative maintenance programs to ensure property safety and proper condition.
  • Inspect properties and common areas daily for maintenance issues.
  • Complete maintenance requests within 24 hours.
  • Change air-conditioning filters biannually and upon apartment turnover.
  • Inspect apartments semi-annually.
  • Follow a preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Provide on-call emergency maintenance during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Respond to after-hours lockout requests.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a leadership role, preferably in residential property management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CAMT, NAHMS) are preferred.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and be medically cleared for duty.
  • Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).

  • Plumbing repair skills.
  • Pools maintenance skills.
