About This Role

This is an opportunity to join our team as a Director Support Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective secretarial/administration support to the Assistant Nursing Director Preventative Health.

You will also be required to provide support to the leadership team of the Preventative Health Service where necessary. The primary purpose of this role is to provide administrative support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide administrative support to the Assistant Nursing Director Preventative Health, including preparing correspondence, reports and presentations.
  • To maintain accurate records and files, both physically and electronically.
  • To provide support to the leadership team of the Preventative Health Service, including coordinating meetings, events and projects.
  • To perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

This role requires a high level of knowledge and skills relevant to a Director Support Officer role, including time management, interpersonal, negotiation, problem solving, oral and written communication.

You will need to demonstrate the ability to problem solve and provide solutions to specific situations to meet organisational or task needs.

Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines and be flexible in a changing work environment.

You will also need to be able to work autonomously, and cooperatively and effectively as part of an executive team.

Intermediate level of Microsoft Office programs and the ability to acquire knowledge of relevant software packages is also required.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
