About the Opportunity

Malcolm Thompson Pumps is a leading provider of pump solutions in Australia, and we are seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team near Perth Airport.

This role involves working across business units to provide purchasing services, ensuring that orders are supplied in accordance with agreed terms.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the Operations Manager to make informed decisions on routine stock orders.
  • Providing recommendations for purchasing quantities to replenish stock.
  • Monitoring order progress, investigating any issues, and updating planned receipt dates in the system.
  • Preparing and processing purchase orders based on agreed replenishment levels and non-routine purchase orders.
  • Reviewing replenishment reports and making recommendations to improve procurement processes.
  • Creating advanced shipment notifications (ASNs) to ensure timely delivery of goods.

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as 8 weeks paid parental leave, 1 week secondary carer leave, and access to our employee benefits program.

About You

  • You will have experience in a similar position, preferably with a background in procurement or purchasing.
  • You should be comfortable working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A strong communicator and relationship builder, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized, with attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
