Job Title: Logistics Delivery Professional

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Logistics Delivery Professional to join our team. As a key member of our delivery operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods and equipment to our customers.

This role involves operating a commercial vehicle to transport loads over required routes, while adhering to all traffic laws and observing safety regulations. You will also be responsible for loading and unloading goods and materials, using specialized equipment when necessary.

Maintaining accurate records and documentation is crucial in this role, including signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork. You will need to deliver this documentation to the shipping office or other appropriate staff when your delivery route is complete.

You will also be required to perform routine service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, gasoline, and air. You must report any maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor promptly.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will be expected to arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimal loading patterns.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • Ability to remain focused in a busy environment.
  • A valid commercial drivers license (CDL) or equivalent, depending on state requirements.
  • Pass a background and drug test as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations.
  • Pass a DOT physical examination, as vehicles driven exceed 10,000 lbs.
  • Be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting in a trailer cab for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time.
  • Frequent travel may be required.

Please note that this position requires regular attendance and punctuality, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits:

This is a safety-sensitive position, and any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10-panel drug screen.

Additional Information:

CDL drivers may be required to be clean shaven for delivery to certain clients.
