Job Role

Sample machinists play a vital role in the fashion industry by creating high-quality garments for production. This position involves working closely with pattern makers, designers, and other teams to ensure that samples meet the company's standards.

Responsibilities
  • Construct 1.5-2 complete garments per day to the highest standard.
  • Collaborate with pattern makers to resolve construction challenges and improve garment quality.
  • Support the sample cutter to maintain a seamless workflow and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Label all samples clearly with style details, fabric information, and other relevant data.
  • Ensure all samples meet critical path deadlines and are presented to stakeholders on time.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote productivity and efficiency.
  • Suggest improvements to sewing techniques and provide feedback to enhance garment construction and overall quality.
Requirements
  • Qualification in garment construction or equivalent experience in the fashion industry.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a sample machinist, preferably in a similar environment.
  • Detailed knowledge of garment construction, pattern interpretation, and textile properties.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative and proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
