Café Manager Job Description

As a hospitality leader, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations in our café. This includes ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering a positive work environment.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, and passion for the coffee culture.

  • Supervise and coordinate all café activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Manage and lead a team of baristas, kitchen staff, and front-of-house personnel.
  • Uphold high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures for food and beverages.
  • Create and update staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and update the menu.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the café.
