Houseperson Position Overview
The Houseperson is responsible for providing support to room attendants in preparing guest rooms. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that our guests have an exceptional experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist room attendants with stripping beds and removing used linen and towels to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Deliver clean towels to the laundry department for cleaning, contributing to the smooth operation of our facilities.
- Transport fresh towels and linens to room attendants for guest rooms, ensuring timely delivery and meeting high expectations.
- Supply additional materials to room attendants as needed and necessary, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Effective communication with room attendants is crucial to ensure efficient and timely cleaning of guest rooms, prioritizing guest satisfaction.
- Efficiently vacuum hallways on guest room floors, adhering to brand standards and emphasizing excellence.
- Perform all duties according to hotel guidelines and focus on consistently exceeding guest expectations.
- Carry out any other tasks assigned by supervisors to promote teamwork and customer-centricity.
Work Environment Requirements
- Able to stand for long periods up to 8 hours daily, adhering to physical demands of the position.
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, and minimal supervision.
- Capable of exerting physical effort consistent with hotel standards.
- Can grasp, bend, stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 30 lbs.
