Exciting Opportunity for a Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mental Health Specialist to join our renowned mental health services team in Perth, Western Australia.

The hospital is an Accredited Mental Health Service, one of the state's most recognised and well-regarded mental health facilities, offering a range of adult community and inpatient services including Enhanced GP Liaison and Hospital in the Home Services, HITH and intensive community treatment programs.

You will have the opportunity to be part of changing and expanding services, working alongside friendly multidisciplinary teams with opportunities for registrar teaching and professional development. This role comes with a competitive salary package, including $357,930 to $456,008 per annum (pro rata), as well as generous leave benefits, including four weeks annual leave, one week additional leave, and three weeks professional development leave.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), or equivalent specialist recognition in Psychiatry, enabling registration as a Specialist Psychiatrist with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders across a range of settings, including inpatient and community-based care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, contributing to a supportive and inclusive work environment.
