About the Role

This exciting role offers a unique chance to work in a world-class environment with access to state-of-the-art facilities and a comprehensive range of services. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the development of mental health services in Western Australia.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent clinical skills, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for teaching and mentoring. You should have experience working in a multidisciplinary setting and be familiar with contemporary mental health practices.

Salary and Benefits

The remuneration package for this role includes a competitive salary of up to $497,000 per annum, including a $30,000 professional development allowance. In addition, we offer comprehensive relocation assistance, temporary accommodation support, and a generous benefits package.

Work Environment

You will be based in one of our three specialist mental health services in metropolitan Perth, which offer a range of inpatient and outpatient services for adults and older adults. Our services are designed to provide comprehensive care through a multidisciplinary approach, and you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • FRANZCP or equivalent qualification
  • Specialist training ideally completed in Ireland, UK, Canada, USA, NZ, or South Africa
  • Minimum 6 months formal post in CAMHS to satisfy RANZCP assessment
