About This Role

As a Peer Worker at the NSW Health Forensic Hospital, you will play a vital role in supporting consumers in their recovery journey.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support consumers in their recovery using lived experience with mental health services.
  • Collaborate with consumers and staff to facilitate participation in individual treatment and recovery within a secure mental health setting.
  • Act as a positive role model, promoting personal recovery and practical insights into recovery.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Certificate IV in Peer Work or relevant qualification and experience.
  • Personal experience as a consumer of mental health services and ability to utilise lived experience to support others.
