C++ Software Engineer Position for High-Performance Systems

Sig Susquehanna, a global quantitative trading firm, is seeking an experienced C++ software engineer to join its Market Data and Signals team.

The successful candidate will design, implement, and deliver complex software systems that meet demanding performance and scalability goals in a trading environment.

We're looking for individuals with a proven track record of delivering high-performance applications that can process massive amounts of data while ensuring stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and enhance low-latency market data exchange connectivity applications using C++ on Linux.
  • Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Quant, Project Management, and Strategy Developer Teams to deliver scalable and highly performant systems.
  • Partner with technical project leads or team leads to drive multiple concurrent projects from analysis to production.

Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in a technical or related discipline
  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience designing and developing applications using object-oriented programming using C++ on Linux
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Expert-level knowledge of C++/Linux development, including design, profiling, performance tuning, OO, generic programming, STL, boost, sockets, multi-threading, and IPC
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and a thorough understanding of full life-cycle development and performance optimization methodologies
  • Knowledge of financial products, exchange connectivity, and market data
