Job Description

The role of HSEQ Advisor – Civil Contractor involves providing support to the project team in identifying and managing high-risk activities. This includes liaising with design teams and contractors to plan and coordinate work activities, conducting health and safety audits, and preparing SWMS and ITPs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing reporting and communication structures to enable accurate assessment and evaluation of health and safety management performance. They will also assess accident, incident, and near-miss reporting, evaluate findings, and monitor the implementation of corrective or preventative measures.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and manage high-risk activities at each stage of the project
  • Liaise with design teams and contractors to plan and coordinate work activities
  • Conduct independent health and safety audits on all aspects of construction management
  • Prepare SWMS and ITPS
  • Plan, develop, and implement reporting and communication structures
  • Assess accident, incident, and near-miss reporting
Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma in Health & Safety or a Cert IV. They will have 5-10+ years' experience working in construction health and safety and excellent interpersonal skills. Additionally, they must be able to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
