Job Title: Director of Major Infrastructure Programs

The Regulatory Operations Group is seeking a seasoned leader to spearhead the Major Infrastructure Program (MIP) Team.

MIP's core responsibility lies in designing, delivering, and reviewing programs targeting major infrastructure projects. The team administers the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 through various prevention, assurance, and enforcement activities.

The MIP program focuses on regulating complex construction projects across Australia involving high-risk WHS matters. Key areas of emphasis include silica risks, construction safety, and contractor management.

This role demands regular engagement with key stakeholders such as Principal Contractors, workers, Health and Safety Representatives, unions, and regulators from other jurisdictions.

A strong leader with political acumen is required to identify, address, and escalate risks as necessary.

Experience in stakeholder management and knowledge of the construction industry are highly desirable.

An essential requirement for this position is the ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance.
