About the Team

The Translational Genomics Program at the Garvan Institute is a leading research group focused on understanding the impact of biological variation on molecular phenotypes. Our team is dedicated to advancing the field of genomics and translating our findings into practical applications that improve human health.

What You Will Do

  • Data Analysis: Develop and implement computational methods to analyze large-scale genomic data sets
  • Collaboration: Work closely with researchers and clinicians to understand research questions and develop solutions
  • Communication: Present results to internal meetings and conferences, and contribute to scientific manuscripts

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Honours degree or higher qualification in bioinformatics, computer science, or a related field
  • Programming Languages: Python, R, Unix, HPC environments
