Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Casual Sessional Teacher to join our team within the Built Environment & Sustainability cluster, Civil Construction. As a key member of our teaching staff, you will be responsible for delivering course material, assessing students, and supervising students enrolled in selected courses.

Your primary role will involve participating in the program's ongoing review of course content and development, delivery, teaching methods (including online delivery methods), and assessment techniques. You will also be expected to contribute to relevant activities that ensure your vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.

We require a teacher who can demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments. This includes effective presentation and facilitation skills, as well as the ability to use flexible teaching methods.

In addition, you should possess demonstrated skills and experience in competency-based assessment, as well as the ability to ensure current and contemporary vocational competence that meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.

  • Demonstrated skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess:

  • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE50116 Diploma in Vocational Education & Training.
  • Relevant Civil construction experience and/or qualification.

A competitive salary package of approximately AU$70,000 - AU$90,000 per annum is on offer, depending on qualifications and experience. The salary range reflects the average annual salary in Melbourne for professionals with similar qualifications and experience. However, please note that salaries may vary based on individual circumstances.
