Job Title: Pediatric Healthcare Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and passionate professional to deliver high-quality pediatric healthcare services in a remote Western Australian community.

  • Coordinate child health services for Aboriginal children aged 0–5 across Broome and surrounding areas, aligned with established care models.
  • Provide regular developmental health checks and childhood immunizations.
  • Facilitate recalls, screenings, and follow-ups as required.
  • Offer case management for at-risk children and coordinate specialist referrals when necessary.
  • Promote adherence to the Kimberley Maternal & Child Health Protocols.
  • Deliver education, training, and mentoring to staff and community members on relevant topics.
  • Support women's groups, parenting programs, and mums & bubs initiatives.
  • Contribute to child health data collection, monitoring, and reporting efforts.

About You:

  • A Registered Nurse (RN) with current AHPRA registration and a postgraduate qualification in Child Health or a related field.
  • Experience delivering child or maternal health services in a Primary Health Care setting, preferably in remote communities.
  • Familiarity with Aboriginal health issues in remote Western Australian communities.
  • Skills in community-based health promotion, health education, and cultural competency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and clinical databases.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • A current WA Working with Children Clearance and National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain).
  • A manual WA C Class Driver's Licence (or ability to obtain) and willingness to travel frequently by 4WD or light aircraft.
