About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in a casual capacity, supporting a participant in a Shared Living (SIL) house.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the participant's quality of life, promoting community access, and facilitating mobilization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to the participant, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, in collaboration with the participant and their support network.
  • Facilitate community access and engagement, promoting social inclusion and participation.
  • Work closely with the participant to identify and achieve their goals, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience supporting clients with disabilities, preferably in a Shared Living setting.
  • Relevant nationally recognized qualification, such as Certificate III in Disability or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience in supporting clients with complex needs, including wheelchair-bound individuals.
  • Current Paid Employee Blue Card and NDIS Worker Clearance.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module completion.
  • Full Australian working rights.
