Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team. As a key member, you will be integrated into SA Water's support structure for a large portfolio of water and wastewater infrastructure programs.

You will influence and collaborate amongst an extensive stakeholder group of construction partners, vendors, regulators, and internal teams to drive multiple projects to beneficial outcomes.

The opportunity is to deliver an efficient capital works program and infrastructure projects from inception to close-out – safely, on time, within budget, and to customer and community expectations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Leading multi-disciplinary project teams of internal and external subject matter experts and delivery partners
  2. Ensuring a portfolio of projects or programs are delivered safely, on time, and in accordance with cost, technical, environmental, operational, and social requirements
  3. Contributing to the progress of design development, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases across several concurrent projects or programs through various contractual models
  4. Guiding, mentoring, and coaching project managers and project engineers across your team and the wider group
  5. Contributing to the improvement of project and program management capabilities and systems
  6. Identifying improvements in processes or practices that show a benefit to yourself or the team

To succeed in this opportunity, you will have experience managing projects in complex environments. You will have different projects focused on civil, mechanical, and electrical.

Tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management, or relevant industry experience are essential. Demonstrated experience as a senior project manager, understanding scope, risk, scheduling, cost, and construction management is desirable.

You will need demonstrated communication/reporting skills and experience in working with a broad range of stakeholders. Understanding various delivery/contractual models and legislative WHS requirements is also essential.
