Purchasing Officer

Job Summary:

MACSEYE is seeking a highly motivated and organized Purchasing Officer to manage the procurement of supplies for our OSHC and Kindergarten services. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end procurement for OSHC and Kindergarten services, sourcing educational resources, office supplies, food, and equipment
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure value, quality, and timely delivery across all purchasing
  • Monitor stock levels and inventory, coordinating storage, distribution, and tracking across multiple sites
  • Support budgeting and cost control by aligning purchasing with financial goals and identifying efficiency opportunities
  • Ensure compliance and accurate records, following organisational policies and reporting requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, or inventory management - ideally in education or childcare settings
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with sound budgeting and cost control knowledge
  • Hands-on, proactive team player with a problem-solving mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
