Job Title: Leading Hand Parks

About the Role

  • The successful candidate will lead and champion safety and operational excellence within our Parks & Reserves Department.
  • Maintain the City's reserves and streetscapes to service delivery measures.
  • Operate various equipment including tractors, trucks, spray units, ride-on mowers, and small plant machinery.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team and engage with stakeholders to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Requirements

  • A background in horticulture or turf is desirable.
  • Possession of a Construction Induction Card, Basic Worksite Traffic Management certificate, and Chainsaw Competency certificate.
  • Experience in leading teams and implementing maintenance schedules in a parks and gardens focus.
  • Hands-on experience with parks maintenance equipment.
  • A current WA 'MR' or 'HR' class driver's license and a C Class Drivers Licence are required.
  • Ability to obtain a current National Police Certificate.
