About The Role:

  • Develop and execute data governance strategies, policies, and practices that ensure data is secure, compliant, and accessible.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with information management frameworks and regulatory standards.
  • Manage data privacy, classification, and records management frameworks to maintain alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough privacy impact assessments and guide data breach response strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Deliver staff training on data management, classification, and protection policies to foster a culture of data responsibility.

Required Skills And Qualifications:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in information/data management, records management, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise-wide information and data governance programs with a focus on data security and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR and other relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in managing disaster recovery and data breach incident response plans to ensure business continuity.
