Senior Mental Health Nurse Unit Manager Role

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Mental Health Nurse Unit Manager to lead our mental health inpatient facility for a period of 12 months.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and passionate individual to take on a leadership role, providing operational direction, coordinating evidence-based nursing care, and ensuring excellent patient and family-centred care in a team-focused environment.

  • Lead a dynamic team of professionals in the delivery of high-quality inpatient mental health services.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to promote patient satisfaction, engagement, and overall well-being.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with patients, families, and carers to ensure holistic care and support.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and improve patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A current registration with AHPRA.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in inpatient mental health settings.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
About the Position

This is a full-time position, working 38 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work a rotating shift roster, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
