Job Title

We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Nurse Unit Manager to lead our mental health inpatient facility during a 12-month maternity leave cover period.

The successful candidate will provide strategic operational direction, ensuring efficient and effective management of the ward while promoting high-quality clinical care for our patients.

As a key member of the hospital's management team, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing and General Manager to support the delivery of exceptional patient care and services.

  • Lead and manage a high-performing team to achieve outstanding results;
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction;
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery;
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge;
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards;
Requirements
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse;
  • At least 5 years of experience in inpatient mental health settings;
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and customer-focused service;
