Outdoor Education Specialist

The role of an Outdoor Education Specialist involves leading a dynamic group of children in nature-based play. This includes supporting the development of skills such as risk management and child-directed play in a natural, open-ended environment.
We are seeking a qualified professional to lead our established Nature Play Program (Bush Kinder) with a strong commitment to and passion for supporting children to engage with nature.
This is an optional extra day of kindergarten for children attending our 4-year-old program. We prioritize providing a high-quality and inclusive play-based educational program that focuses on children's competence and potential. We encourage their curiosity, sense of wonder, and joy.
As an Outdoor Education Specialist, you will be supported by an experienced team of Early Childhood Teachers who have developed the existing Nature Play program. If you are a suitably qualified Early Childhood Educator who enjoys working and teaching in outdoor environments and would like to join a well-established team of early childhood professionals with supportive management, then we would welcome your application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Nature Play Program (Bush Kinder)
- Develop and implement engaging outdoor education activities
- Support the development of children's skills in risk management and child-directed play
- Work collaboratively with the experienced team of Early Childhood Teachers
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Strong commitment to and passion for supporting children to engage with nature
- Experience in leading outdoor education programs
